The top of the rudder stock, right at helmsman's feet, squared off for emergency tiller. I ground a slot fore and aft in the top of the stock, and there's a 3" 1/2 coupling welded in the deck here, which takes a short piece of a 3" nip with a turned flange welded to it and a plexi top with radiused edges... I can glance down and have an instant, real time rudder angle indicator... very handy, especially with a boat this size. Next
